KabonFootprint for Olympic Track and Field Shoes
It is thought that the shape and tread pattern of the KabonFootprint was instrumental in helping the Kabon safely land on Earth at high velocity and a probable steep descent with a heavy impact on landing.

Also, Speedo are thought to be in discussions with officials as to the possibility of using a flesh-like version of the KabonFootprint to fix to the feet of swimmers for extra propulsion in exchange for the removal of full body suit swimwear. So the swimmer can choose to be more stream-lined in the water or have more propulsive force.
